On Thursday night, Bavaria's roads remained calm despite the continuing risk of icy conditions. According to police spokespeople in the state, the situation had "been spared due to the weather" and the situation had largely calmed down in the morning.
The German Weather Service (DWD) continues to warn of frost and icy conditions due to freezing rain or snow on Thursday. It will remain very cloudy in Bavaria during the course of the day, but people can look forward to rays of sunshine, especially in the south. Temperatures will be between minus one and plus three degrees. On Friday, the DWD expects temperatures between minus four and plus four degrees. Snowfall is expected in Franconia and Swabia, followed later by rain. The weather service warns of black ice in parts of Bavaria.
