Dane Magaard extends his contract with Bundesliga club HSV Hamburg

Circle player Andreas Magaard has extended his contract with Bundesliga handball club HSV Hamburg, which expires at the end of the season, until June 30, 2027. The club made the announcement on Friday ahead of the home game against HC Erlangen. The 25-year-old Dane moved to the Hanseatic city from first-division club Nordsjaelland HB in his home country in the summer of 2022.

"We're absolutely convinced of Andreas' athletic ability and he's also a great asset to us on a personal level. It is therefore a great pleasure for us that he has decided to stay here with us," said HSVH Managing Director Sebastian Frecke.

Magaard himself is looking forward to the next three years in Hamburg: "The club wants more, I can see that. I want to develop further here and help the club take the next steps. It would be a dream for me to play in Europe with HSVH at some point," said the Dane.

Andreas Magaard's contract extension with HSV Hamburg ensures his presence in the Bundesliga handball league until 2027. The Danish player will continue to contribute to HSV Hamburg, in both athletic and personal aspects, following his successful transfer from Nordsjaelland HB.
