A cyclist has died in hospital following a collision with another cyclist. As police reported, the 78-year-old woman and her companion were riding their e-bikes on a bike path near Gundelsheim (Bamberg district) on Friday.

When a 69-year-old cyclist tried to overtake them, he collided with the woman and both fell. The woman suffered a severe head injury and was in critical condition, police said. According to a spokesperson, the woman was not wearing a helmet. She later died in the hospital on Saturday night. The 69-year-old was also taken to the hospital with an injury to his thumb. The public prosecutor's office ordered an expert report.

The accident resulted in the 78-year-old woman being critically injured and later passing away in the hospital. The 69-year-old cyclist involved in the collision required hospital treatment for an injury to his thumb.
