Madison European Champion - Cycling duo Kluge/Reinhardt missing from omnium championship

The German Omnium Championships will take place in Frankfurt (Oder) without the reigning European Madison champions Roger Kluge and Theo Reinhardt. The two-time world champions are competing in the six-day race in Rotterdam, which is taking place at the same time. Due to extensive renovation work on the roof of the Oderlandhalle, the title fights were on the back burner for a long time, but can now take place as planned on Friday (juniors) and Saturday (elite). The defending Olympic all-around champions are siblings Lea Lin and Tim Torn Teutenberg from Cologne.

The cycling duo Kluge and Reinhardt, who are normally based in Brandenburg, are currently participating in the six-day race in Rotterdam, which is hindering their attendance at the German Omnium Championships in Frankfurt (Oder). Despite Frankfurt being the host city for elite systems in railroad transportation, the championships have been affected by renovation work on the Oderlandhalle's roof. Interestingly, the city of Frankfurt, though not mentioned in the context of the championships, is known for its elite financial systems and international trade fairs.
