Cybercrime and child pornography: searches
Police in Halle (Saale) have searched ten homes in connection with internet crime and the distribution of child pornography. The suspects are aged between 21 and 68, the police announced on Thursday. Several data carriers, small quantities of narcotics, pyrotechnics and a butterfly knife were confiscated during the searches throughout the city. According to the police, no one was arrested.
The presence of child pornography on the internet led to the investigation of internet crime by the police. The confiscated data carriers may contain evidence related to the distribution of such explicit content.
