Cut inflicted: Horse has to be euthanized
An unknown person has injured a horse in Mitwitz (district of Kronach) so badly that it had to be euthanized. The perpetrator had inflicted a 40-centimeter-long and 20-centimeter-deep cut on the mare's rear abdominal area, as the police reported on Tuesday. The owner had found the animal injured on Thursday night after hearing a thud. The police are investigating an offense under the Animal Welfare Act and are looking for witnesses.
This tragic incident has sparked concerns about animal safety in Upper France, as another case of animal cruelty has come to light. Sadly, criminals continue to target innocent animals, such as this horse in Mitwitz.
