Customs seize 1.5 kilos of marijuana

The main customs office in Kiel has seized 1.5 kilograms of marijuana during a vehicle check shortly before Hammoor (Stormarn district). According to police reports on Saturday, the drugs have a street value of around 15,000 euros.

Drugs - Customs seize 1.5 kilos of marijuana

The main customs office in Kiel has seized 1.5 kilograms of marijuana during a vehicle check just outside Hammoor (Stormarn district). According to police reports on Saturday, the drugs have a street value of around 15,000 euros.

The car had previously been diverted from the Autobahn 1 to a rest area for a routine check. The car, registered in Kiel, was heading north. On Thursday, the officers found three vacuum bags containing cannabis flowers in the back seat of the car.

During the check, the 19-year-old driver stated that he had picked up the drugs in Hamburg with his co-driver, who was the same age. Criminal proceedings will now be initiated against the man for violating the Narcotics Act. The investigation is ongoing.
