In the trunk of a car, customs officers near the Dutch border found a "small arsenal of weapons". Inside the car were two loaded firearms with ammunition, as reported by the Main Customs Office in Aachen. Additionally, the officers discovered two telescopic batons, a knuckleduster, a scanner for transmitters and bugs, as well as four grams of amphetamine in the vehicle.

The weapons and drugs were seized. A 36-year-old Dutch driver is now being investigated for suspected violations of the Weapons Act and the Narcotics Act, the customs office further reported. The driver was stopped for a check shortly after entering Germany. The man is said to have put up significant physical resistance.

The seized "small arsenal" of weapons included two loaded firearms and ammunition. The driver's alleged violation of the Weapons Act has escalated due to the discovery of these weapons.
