Frankfurt - Customs officers find 36 kilograms of cannabis at the airport
Customs officers at Frankfurt Airport have found 36 kilograms of herbal cannabis with a street value of 360,000 euros. The officers checked a traveler from the USA. The 34-year-old woman had wanted to pass through the exit for undeclared goods when she was stopped by the officers, customs officials announced on Monday.
When asked by the customs officers, the woman stated that the suitcase contained clothing and cosmetics. However, the X-ray scanner showed conspicuous shading. Further examination revealed that her two suitcases each contained 30 airtight packages containing around 36 kilograms of herbal cannabis. The suspect is currently in custody. The arrest took place in mid-November.
