Currently, heating promotions are accessible to all property holders.

The controversial Heating Act's Promotion segment is in focus. Since February 27, homeowners living in single-family houses can apply for funding. Starting May 28, apartment owners living in multi-family buildings and WEG residences can also apply. The ministry reports that approximately 93,000 approvals have been given since funding began at the end of February.

For homeowners of single-family houses, they can potentially receive up to 70% funding. This includes a bonus for lower-income earners and a "climate speed bonus". The recently added third group, along with the basic 30% funding, can benefit from an additional 5% "efficiency bonus" for exceptionally efficient heat pumps. Alternatively, the ministry offers a flat rate emission reduction subsidy of 2,500 euros for highly efficient biomass heating systems.

Applications can be submitted through the online client portal "My KfW". As per the info, approvals are granted within a few minutes for complete documents and eligible projects.

If the funding is approved, individuals have 36 months to install a heat pump or another eligible heating system.

The Heating Act's Promotion segment specifically focuses on the incentives for heating promotion. Homeowners living in multi-family buildings and WEG residences can also apply for funding starting May 28, benefiting from the additional 5% "efficiency bonus" for energy-efficient heat pumps.
