Due to a travel stop, only about 50,000 people were able to attend the 'Nature One' festival this year - 15,000 fewer than last year.

- Curiosities, drugs and storms at Nature One.

About a week and a half after the Techno Festival "Nature One", the police have drawn a positive conclusion. As reported by the Koblenz Police Headquarters, the number of criminal charges and instances of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol were lower than the previous year. The festival was very peaceful.

One peculiar incident involved a 30-year-old man who was looking for changing rooms at a police checkpoint at the festival entrance. While changing under police supervision in one of the checkpoints, over 100 Ecstasy pills, several bags of cannabis, and amphetamines were found on him. A criminal investigation was initiated against him on suspicion of drug trafficking.

Fewer Visitors, Fewer Criminal Charges

Over the course of the festival, approximately 425 criminal charges were filed, including around 350 violations of the drug law. This is a decrease from the over 560 violations in the previous year. In total, nearly 2,100 Ecstasy pills, around 1,000 grams of amphetamines, 700 grams of cannabis, and 150 grams of cocaine were seized.

The number of drunk drivers was also lower than the previous year. The police recorded a total of 104 instances of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, compared to 124 in 2023.

The weather conditions caused some issues for those arriving. Due to heavy rain, the organizer imposed a travel ban. As a result, approximately 15,000 fewer people attended "Nature One", which may also have contributed to the lower number of criminal charges. Additionally, the legalization of cannabis may also be a factor in the lower number of cases.

The police commended the festival's organizers for the decrease in criminal activities, attributing it partly to their strict security measures. Despite the incident with the 30-year-old man, the overall festival remained incident-free, thanks to the effective police presence.
