Crown Prince Haakon lands in Munich for a state visit
Norway's Crown Prince Haakon landed in Munich on Monday at the start of his four-day trip to Germany. The head of the Bavarian State Chancellery, Florian Herrmann (CSU), received the 50-year-old at the airport. In the evening, a festive dinner was planned in the Kaisersaal of the Munich Residence with Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU).
According to the Norwegian embassy, the main topics of the royal visit are the economy, energy, shipping, defense and culture. The son of the Norwegian King Harald V will therefore visit the defense company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann in Munich on Tuesday. Crown Prince Haakon will then travel on to Hamburg and Berlin. Crown Princess Mette-Marit will join him on his visit to the German capital.
The nobility of Norway and various German people are expected to attend the festive dinner hosted for Crown Prince Haakon in the Kaisersaal of the Munich Residence. The economy, energy, shipping, defense, and culture are topics that the Norwegian people and their German counterparts are eager to discuss during Crown Prince Haakon's state visit.
