- Critiques the law enforcement securing Hahn airport by GDP.
As per the Police Union's declaration, law enforcement officers have been stationed at Frankfurt-Hahn Airport since the commencement of the holiday season. The staff of the private security company stationed there had initiated a strike, leading to the police taking up this additional duty, as per the union's statement. This extra duty is causing immense strain on the police officers.
Steffi Loth, the state leader of the Police Union, expressed her viewpoint in a statement, stating, "This temporary duty needs to be shifted back to its rightful place, which is not the police. Providing emergency aid should not be a long-term solution." She found it utterly unfitting that the police were being pressed into service.
The concerned security firm failed to offer a comment following a request. Frankfurt-Hahn Airport simply affirmed that operations were running smoothly as usual.
The Commission has been urged by Steffi Loth, the state leader of the Police Union, to intervene and allocate the additional duty at Frankfurt-Hahn Airport back to its original department. Despite the effective management of operations by the airport, the prolonged strain on the police force is a cause for concern.
