Before the second-tier clash against Hamburg SV, manager Stefan Leitl tackled the unfavorable vibe at Hannover 96. "We've suffered a defeat. We might endure another one or two. Other teams will also experience defeats. We need to cope with this situation better," Leitl commented on the severe backlash post their cup ousting against Arminia Bielefeld.

Recently, 96ers stumbled in their opening-round contest, losing 0:2 to a third-division team. Sporting director Marcus Mann termed it as "lethargic football on a train." Supervisory board member Martin Kind voiced his concerns over the lack of progression.

In the run-up to the HSV encounter (Friday, 6:30 PM/Sky), Leitl emphasized their positive start to the 2nd Bundesliga campaign. "We're now on the third matchday, boasting four points, conceding no goals, home fixture, and a 50,000-strong crowd: Now we require energy," he expressed during his press conference. "From everyone who can contribute energy, we need energy, support, faith in the team. This is a decent team, boasting good lads."

Following the forthcoming North derby on Friday night, the Lower Saxony squad is eager to bring in a few fresh faces throughout the transfer window which ends on August 30th. They are principally targeting reinforcements for the defensive midfield, left flank, and defense. "We'd fortify our ranks if an opportunity presents itself," Leitl concluded.

In preparation for the HSV match on Friday at 6:30 PM, broadcast on Sky, manager Stefan Leitl highlighted the team's positive start in the 2nd Bundesliga with four points, no conceded goals, and a home crowd of 50,000. After the North derby, Hannover 96 is planning to strengthen their defense, defensive midfield, and left flank before the transfer window closes on August 30th.
