Accidents - Crashed into the end of a traffic jam: Driver of a van dead
A man has died in a rear-end collision at the end of a traffic jam on the Autobahn 1 near Osnabrück. Police reported on Tuesday that the man had collided with a truck in the direction of Münster in his van for an initially unknown reason. He died at the scene of the accident. The recovery is still underway. The reason for the traffic jam was the fire in a truck late Monday evening and a full closure of the highway. A police spokeswoman said that there were considerable traffic disruptions. Federal highway 68 was also overloaded as an alternative route.
