Ortenau district - Crane falls onto tracks in station: man injured
A crane driver crashed his vehicle onto the tracks during construction work at Orschweier station near Mahlberg(Ortenau district). The man suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital, the police said on Wednesday. According to their findings, the mobile working crane was being used to erect noise barriers on Wednesday night. While maneuvering, the vehicle crashed onto the track. An auxiliary crane recovered the overturned crane. The section of the Rhine Valley Railway was closed for a good two hours and there were delays to train services. The exact circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
