Homicide - Court orders indefinite placement in psychiatric ward

On Thursday, Kleve Regional Court ordered the indefinite, closed placement of a 37-year-old man in a psychiatric hospital. This was announced by the court. The man from Kleve is accused of manslaughter while mentally incompetent. He is said to have deliberately killed his roommate during an argument in June by stabbing him in the head and upper body. He then allegedly tried to cut off his head. According to the public prosecutor's office, he had a mental illness at the time of the crime.
