A court in Hanover has issued an arrest warrant for investor Lars Windhorst. This was confirmed by a spokesperson from the district court on Tuesday in response to an inquiry. Windhorst is accused of failing to fulfill his duties in the bankruptcy proceedings against Projekt IZ Hannover GmbH. He allegedly didn't provide necessary information, hand over keys, and missed a hearing on April 22nd. The warrant was issued on May 23rd. Windhorst has filed an appeal against the arrest warrant.

Projekt IZ Hannover GmbH, a company based in Hanover, is said to own 83% of the Ihme Center. This complex, located along the Ihme River in the Linden district, features residential and office buildings. The Ihme Center has been in need of renovation for years.

A representative of Windhorst's Tennor Group confirmed that an appeal has been filed against the warrant. The arrest warrant is a "coercive measure" from the court meant to prompt Windhorst to cooperate. Windhorst denies not fulfilling his obligations, stating he will talk with the court and insolvency administrator about it.

Someone from the district court stated that the appeal doesn't suspend the warrant's effects. This means that a court bailiff, a civil servant, could arrest Windhorst. If arrested, he might face up to three weeks in prison. However, this could be avoided if Windhorst complies with his responsibilities, such as agreeing to work with the court during proceedings.

A press conference with Windhorst is set for Wednesday afternoon in Flensburg. The court spokesperson said that the scheduled date is known to them. No other information was provided. A Tennor Group representative stated that Windhorst plans to appear at this event. At the event, he intends to discuss the future of the Flensburg shipyards, Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft, and Nobiskrug, which are owned by Tennor Group.
