In Döbeln, a few kilometers from her home, the body of nine-year-old Valeriia was located, as police revealed. "Remote from forest paths, deeply in the vegetation," stated Mandy Kürschner, head of the Criminal Police Inspection in Chemnitz, during a press conference on Wednesday. This is an area forested between Hermsdorf and Mahlitzsch. "Our search efforts have been crucial," Kürschner furthered, "otherwise, we might not have found Valeriia until now." The discovery occurred on Tuesday of the body. The girl, originally from Ukraine, is believed to have been killed there as well. According to the public prosecutor's office, the place of her body was the location of the crime.
