Corinna Harfouch (69) will be honored at the Five Lakes Film Festival in Upper Bavaria with the Hannelore-Elsner-Award. The award, endowed with 5,000 euros, recognizes outstanding German-speaking actresses. It has been awarded since 2019 in memory of Hannelore Elsner ("Die Kommissarin", "Die Unberührbare", "Kirschblüten - Hanami"), who died in that year at the age of 76. Harfouch ("Finsterworld", "Lara", Berlin's "Tatort") follows previous winners Barbara Auer, Nina Hoss, Birgit Minichmayr, Sandra Hüller, and Paula Beer, as announced by the organizers.
At the award ceremony on September 9th in the Schlossberghalle Starnberg, Harfouch's new film "Die Ironie des Lebens" will be shown.
The festival will also pay tribute to the actress with a homage featuring three more films ("Die Schauspielerin", "Was man von hier aus sehen kann", "Sterben").
