Crime - Copper pipes and electrical cables ripped out of house in Plauen
Large quantities of non-ferrous metal were stolen from a vacant apartment building in Plauen in the Vogtland region in the first week of December. According to the Zwickau police department on Saturday, the perpetrators caused a great deal of damage. They ripped out all the copper pipes and electrical wiring from all four floors. The value of the stolen goods is estimated at over 10,000 euros - the property damage caused is significantly higher at around 50,000 euros. The police are now looking for witnesses who noticed suspicious persons or vehicles in the vicinity of the house during the period of the crime.
