Weather - Cooling down after the summer weather in Saxony-Anhalt
At the beginning of the week, after high summer temperatures, Sachsen-Anhalt experiences cooling for wide areas. The German Weather Service announced on Sunday that it will be significantly cooler compared to the previous days. In the eastern part of the country, it reached nearly 25 degrees on Sunday, while it will be significantly cooler in the western part. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible in the entire federal state in the afternoon, but in significantly milder form than in the previous days.
At the beginning of the week, a similar weather pattern is expected. In the morning of Monday, there are expected to be more showers and scattered thunderstorms. The weather situation calms down a little in the afternoon with temperatures around 20 degrees. The German Weather Service does not expect any major temperature increases in the following days. Temperatures of 25 degrees may only be reached again towards the weekend.
On the upcoming Sunday, according to DWD's forecast, the cooling down trend continues in Saxony-Anhalt, with significantly lower temperatures compared to the previous day's high of nearly 25 degrees. On that same Sunday, scattered showers and milder thunderstorms might occur across the federal state.
