Contract until the end of the season: Eisenach signs Estonian Patrail
Promoted ThSV Eisenach has made further personnel additions to stabilize its defence. The Bundesliga handball club has signed the experienced Estonian Mait Patrail, who already played in the 24:26 defeat in Lemgo on Thursday evening. The 35-year-old backcourt player has signed a contract until the end of the season. Patrail has already played for Lemgo, Hannover-Burgdorf and the Rhein-Neckar Löwen in the Bundesliga.
The Thuringians, who started the season as the clear underdogs, suffered their seventh defeat in a row in Lemgo. After a good start to the season, ThSV now occupy second-last place with three wins and one draw from 15 games. However, they are only two points behind 16th place, which is enough to keep them in the league.
The experienced Estonian Mait Patrail, who recently signed with ThSV Eisenach, had previously played against Eisenach in Lemgo's Bundesliga handball match. With Patrail's addition to their defense, ThSV Eisenach aims to improve their position in the Bundesliga, currently holding the second-last position.
