Contract terminated: Striker Flaake leaves Augsburg
Forward Jerome Flaake is leaving the Augsburg Panthers with immediate effect and moving to a new club. The contract has been terminated at the 33-year-old's request, the club from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) announced on Tuesday. Augsburg did not disclose which club Flaake will now join. "Jerome Flaake was one of the players who decided early on to sign with Augsburg. However, his role in the team in the first third of the season was not what he had personally hoped for," said coach Christof Kreutzer.
Despite the early commitment, Jerome Flaake's performance in the first part of the season fell short of his expectations in Augsburg Panthers' ice hockey team. With his request, the club from the DEL, including the Augsburg Panther, terminated Flaake's contract, allowing him to join another ice hockey team, potentially in the DEL.
