Benjamin Sesko is about to prolong his deal with RB Leipzig, a Bundesliga team, as reported by dpa. Sesko, who is also part of the Slovenian national team, was initially scheduled to have his contract expire in 2028. However, he has opted against activating his €65 million release clause that was active until the end of June. Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert, initially reported this information.

Sesko, a 21-year-old forward, settled into a starting position with Leipzig during the second half of last season. He managed to score 14 goals in 31 Bundesliga matches. Recently, rumors from Arsenal, an English Vice Champion, arose about their interest in him.

This European Championship, which starts on Friday, will see Sesko representing Slovenia against England, Denmark, and Serbia. Being a skillful and tall striker at 1.95 meters, he has the potential to attract Europe's top clubs with impressive performances. Leipzig may avoid losing Sesko by renawing his contract before the EM.
