Second tier German soccer league named Bundesliga 2 - Contract Extension for Hertha BSC's Reinstated Player Eitschberger Until 2027
Julian Eitschberger has signed a new deal with Hertha BSC, his current Bundesliga club, following his time with Hallescher FC. The 20-year-old defender will stay with the team from Berlin until 2027, as revealed by sporting director Benjamin Weber during a recent meeting with members.
Weber expressed his delight with the extended contract, stating that the pair had been in regular touch during Eitschberger's time away from the club. He went on to discuss the young player's successful stint in the third division, which he believes has seen him grow both on and off the field in line with their expectations.
Last season, Eitschberger featured in 32 games for HFC, scoring a single goal. Unfortunately, HFC were relegated to the Regionalliga. Since 2017, the U21 national player has been a part of Hertha, with one appearance each in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons in the Bundesliga.
