Following their triumph in the Bundesliga opener as the new boss of Borussia Dortmund, Nuri Sahin decided to grant his squad a well-deserved break. Following their 2:0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday night, Sahin will welcome his players back to training on Tuesday.

"The lads have truly earned this," Sahin said. "Today's three points were absolutely vital. It was essential to begin the season on a positive note."

Sahin is the fourth BVB coach in five years

Having taken over from Edin Terzic, Sahin is now the fourth coach to lead Dortmund in the past five years. According to him, he was quite anxious before his Bundesliga coaching debut, but he was content with the successful launch despite certain setbacks.

"Nothing went perfectly as we intended. But, with victories, it's even more important to speed up the process," Sahin remarked. His team ultimately emerged victorious amid initial troubles, thanks to late goals from substitute Jamie Gittens (72nd minute/90+3).

After a successful debut in the Bundesliga, Sahin decided to take his Hessen-based team, Borussia Dortmund, for a well-deserved break. Considering Hessen's rich footballing history and Borussia Dortmund's recent struggles, Sahin's tenure as the fourth head coach from Hessen in five years promises an exciting new chapter.
