During the confrontation, the older man allegedly inflicted serious wounds on his adversary using a knife. The Somali man was transported to the hospital via an ambulance, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries on Friday night.
A nearby patrol apprehended the suspected perpetrator, the Gambian man, following the incident. According to the authorities, the two had already had a run-in the previous day. The investigation, now being handled by the Ravensburg Criminal Investigation Department, is still ongoing.
The Gambian man, involved in the altercation, is currently under investigation by the Ravensburg Criminal Investigation Department as an asylum seeker. The tragedy has brought attention to the need for conflict resolution programs for asylum seekers in the community.
