Soccer - Container installation for the European Championships in Hamburg on show for longer
The containers decorated in the flags of the participating countries for the European Football Championship will be on display in the Port of Hamburg for even longer. The installation at O'Swaldkai will continue until December 17 (Sunday), Hamburg Marketing announced on Wednesday.
The draw for the European Championship group stage took place last weekend in the Elbphilharmonie. At the same time, 70 port employees re-enacted the drawing of the lots with the national flag containers. All the countries represented will play in next year's tournament. Among the matches taking place in Hamburg are Croatia against Albania and the Czech Republic against Turkey. The Dutch national team will also play a match in the Hanseatic city.
