Accident at work - Construction worker hit by brick and seriously injured

A worker was hit and seriously injured by a falling brick at a construction site in Straubing. A police spokeswoman made the statement. The 37-year-old man was reportedly injured at the shoulder and taken to a hospital.

According to the police, a building was being core-drilled on the property on Monday. The construction debris was supposed to be disposed of in a container that was on a scaffolding at the house. However, a brick was dislodged from the debris and fell down. The police are now investigating for suspected negligent bodily harm, as reported.

The construction site in Straubing, Bavaria, where the accident occurred, is now under investigation by the local police. The incident involved a falling brick, leading to serious injuries at work. The accident site was a building undergoing core-drilling, and debris disposal procedures were being carried out on Monday. Despite strict safety measures in place, an accident still occurred, raising concerns about workplace safety in Lower Bavaria.
