The local labor court has recently made changes to the lower court's decision regarding staff deployment during emergency services and notifying workers of strikes, their spokesperson declared. The reasoning behind this decision will be made public within the next two to three weeks.

Recently, the GDL union has caused disruptions in the City-Bahn network via multiple strikes, aiming to obtain a 35-hour work week similar to other railway firms. The Chemnitz-based municipal railway company - which oversees several lines in the Chemnitz region - sought an injunction in May, hoping to protect the student transport services from further strikes. Approximately 1,800 children and teenagers rely on these routes to commute to and from school. In response to the labor court's ruling, the union has chosen to lodge an appeal.
