Bielefeld's Story: Exploring the City's Rich History and Vibrant Culture - Conflict about who has the right-of-way escalates into a late-night fight.

A disagreement over who has the right of way on a skinny road in Bielefeld resulted in a fierce fight. In the pre-dawn hours of Thursday, the occupants of two cars got into a heated argument because both refused to give way. Their vehicles were facing each other and obstructing each other's path, and instead of backing up, a front-seat passenger (41) and a 45-year-old driver stepped out of their cars. This led to a physical confrontation. A bystander (49) intervened to stop the altercation - but was hit on the head with a car hood by the 45-year-old driver. The bystander then reportedly retaliated by hitting the passenger. Both the bystander and the driver tested positive for being drunk.
