He showcased his abilities: "I can play as a striker, I can play on the left, I can play on the right." He knows his role: "Certainly, entering from the bench and creating chaos on the pitch." It's obvious who will receive his debut jersey: "My parents."
Nagelsmann on Beier's EM chances. "He's definitely increased his odds." Now, it seems like an undeserving player will get cut: "Maxi played an outstanding game, two excellent shots, and was also defensively diligent. He performed well."
Bayern prodigy Pavlovic also receives his first call-up
Beier was not the sole debutant at the Max-Morlock-Stadion. Bayern prospect Aleksandar Pavlovic also earned his first international minutes. "It was amazing. I'm incredibly proud. It was fun," Pavlovic shared about his experience. His rapid progression over the past few months is "hard to comprehend" for him. Pavlovic also aims to remain in the EM squad.
