A piece of concrete weighing around twelve tons has fallen on a worker on a construction site in Swabia. The 62-year-old from the Ostalbkreis district was seriously injured in the accident in Donauwörth (Donau-Ries district), the police announced on Thursday. The man, who had been standing on a lifting platform when the accident occurred on Wednesday, was taken to hospital by helicopter with severe bruising to his upper body.
