Accident - Concrete mixer tips over and traps driver
A 17-ton concrete mixer has overturned in Lüdenscheid, trapping the driver. According to the police on Monday morning, the accident occurred at around six o'clock on a main road near Lüdenscheid-Brügge station. The driver was able to free himself when the police arrived, according to a spokesperson. The man was treated in an ambulance. No concrete was spilled.
Just over an hour after the accident, a crane truck arrived to recover the 17-ton vehicle from a Berlin company, said the police spokesman. The main road was reopened after around an hour and a half. It was initially unclear how the incident occurred. It was slippery in places.
