The two-day assembly of health ministers and state health ministers concludes tomorrow. Details about the outcome will be shared around 12:45 p.m. as mentioned by the Health Ministry in Kiel. Key areas of discussion included hospital transformation, whose draft was passed by the federal cabinet in mid-May, outpatient care, and the availability of medicines.

A representative from the Kiel Ministry stated that the gathering saw a friendly back and forth between the ministers. Nonetheless, protests occurred in Lübeck while the conference happened.

As reported by the police, roughly 250 people took part in the rally in Lübeck yesterday under the banner "Putting health back on track." Prior to the event, the union revealed their plans to "closely observe" the conference. They claim that providing the best healthcare possible is being overshadowed by profit maximization.

The hospital reform, a key topic at the Conference of Health Ministers, aligns with the German Ministry of Health's (BMG) focus on improving healthcare services. Despite the ongoing discussions in Schleswig-Holstein's Lübeck, protests against perceived profit maximization in healthcare were held nearby. The proposed measures, including reforms for outpatient care and medicine availability, will be crucial if the goal of providing the best healthcare possible is to be achieved.
