Emergency - Complete closure on A7 near Northeim after accident
The highway 7 is fully closed between the Northeim-West and Nörten-Hardenberg (district of Northeim) junctions in the direction of Kassel following an accident. For reasons as yet unexplained, the car of a 21-year-old woman overturned several times this morning, as the police reported on Thursday. The car first hit a concrete wall shortly before the Nörten-Hardenberg exit and then overturned. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for examination.
As the road was contaminated with oil and petrol, the road was closed for cleaning. It was initially unclear when the closure would be lifted. According to a police spokesperson, a traffic jam of four kilometers had formed by 1 p.m.
