Television - Competition or buddies? First details about "The Bachelors"

A passionate cold shower enthusiast from Hamburg and a fitness machine expert from Bavaria will be competing with each other in the new flirting duo "The Bachelors" 2024 on RTL.

The Cologne-based private broadcaster announced the first details of the two lovebirds on Wednesday. Sebastian Klaus (35) from Hamburg is a real estate manager and has been single for a year. "He takes a cold shower for five minutes every morning, always hangs up his washing according to the same principle and can stand in a handstand for 60 seconds," says RTL. His hobbies include various sports and playing board games with his family. Sebastian was already engaged.

Dennis Gries (30) from Kempten in the Allgäu region is the owner of a fitness and wellness facility and a start-up founder in the fitness machine business. In addition to fitness and sport, cooking healthy food is his hobby. He has also been single for a year. "He always has a pack of corn waffles with him and never leaves food to chance," RTL reveals. In his own words, he has achieved financial security: "I have everything and am in the prime of my life, the only thing missing is the right woman by my side," says the 30-year-old.

The fact that two men are the focus of the"Bachelor" format in the 14th season is new. The flirting fun will be shown in South Africa in 2024. Also new: the candidates Sebastian and Dennis meet the women in advance for blind dates in Germany. They are allowed to choose 22 women from a total of 30 for the South Africa trip.

How the roles of the two men will be distributed is still up in the air. Sebastian: "Just as the other Bachelor can be competition, we could also take on the role of each other's best friend, supporting or critically questioning each other's decisions."

Dennis has a similar view: "For the second Bachelor, I initially wondered whether it would work. But now I think it might be cool to have a buddy by my side."
