Cops nabbed a suspected purse snatcher red-handed on a subway train at Ahrensfelde station. Undercover agents spotted the incident happening around dawn on Saturday, with a man rummaging through a snoozing 18-year-old's possessions in a standing S7 train carriage, according to federal law enforcement. When the 18-year-old awakened, the crook halted his actions.

The suspected crook, a 37-year-old, was apprehended by the undercover officers. The 18-year-old voiced his concern over missing funds. Upon searching the 37-year-old, the police recovered around 90 euros in cash and pepper spray. Both items were confiscated. The 37-year-old is currently under investigation for grand larceny.

The 37-year-old's actions qualify as a form of petty crime. The grand larceny investigation highlights the prevalence of such crimes in public transportation.
