Relaxing Break: Overcast Skies, Drizzle, and Downpours Kick off the Week, Particularly in Southern Bavaria. The forecast hints at better weather on Tuesday.

Sunday witnessed intense rain in numerous regions. As per the Flood Information Center of the State Environmental Office, this precipitation led to an increase in water levels along the southern tributaries of the Danube and in the Regen river's catchment area, resulting in minor flooding in a few areas.

The water levels remained at alert level 1 only on the Paar in Dasing and the Würm at Leutstetten on Monday. The water levels continue to rise in the Regen, potentially leading to minor flooding in Cham and the white Regen.

** persistent Rainfall from the Alps to the Bavarian Forest**

The German Weather Service (DWD) predicts consistent rainfall from the Alps to the Bavarian Forest on Monday, with varying intensity. The possibility of 30 to 50 liters of rain per square meter, and up to 60 liters in certain locations, within a 24-hour period, has been suggested.

However, as per the Flood Information Center, the situation will improve, with water levels receding at most rivers. Nevertheless, high pressure will gradually dominate in Franconia from Monday, with the sun shining more frequently in the coming days.

As mentioned by DWD, on Tuesday morning, there might be some fog with a visibility limit of less than 150 meters, particularly in southern Bavaria.

Despite the forecasted improvement, the German Weather Service warnings indicate the potential for another Hurricane-force winds in the western Alps on Tuesday, posing a threat to the region. The remnants of the Hurricane could further intensify the rainfall in the Bavarian Forest, potentially exacerbating the ongoing flooding situation.
