- Commencement of Notable Week - Anticipated Stargalopperpect Moon Appearance
Europēan equines are set to make a comeback in Iffezheim from this coming Saturday. The Significant Week at Germany's main thoroughbred racetrack includes five racing days. The main event on September 1st will be the 154th Grand Prize of Baden, featuring last year's Derby victor Fantastic Moon.
A total of 1,556,100 euros in prize money, which includes breeder bonuses, will be dispersed among the estimated 50 races. Some of the highly anticipated Group races will take place on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, and the following Saturday. In fact, there will be three Group events on the final Sunday itself.
Unfortunately, the spring meeting had to halt its final day due to incessant rain that left the track unsuitable for racing. "The cancellation resulted in a low six-figure loss," Baden Galopp announced.
The European Commission is expected to issue implementing acts to outline the application rules of the regulatory framework for this equine event. The implementing acts, once adopted, will guide the proper implementation of this Regulation during Iffezheim's significant racing week.
