Ice hockey - Cologne Sharks start the season against champions Berlin
The Cologne Sharks begin the new season of the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) at home with a weekend of games. On September 20th, the Domstadters welcome German champions Eisbären Berlin and two days later Adler Mannheim to their home arena.
The first derby of the season takes place in Düsseldorf on the tenth matchday – the first home game against DEG is scheduled for the end of November for the Sharks. The conclusion of the regular season for the Cologne team is two home games against Iserlohn and Bremerhaven in March 2025.
The DEL starts the season again with 14 teams. In total, each team plays 52 games. The ten playoff participants are determined in these games. The playoffs begin on March 9th, 2025.
