Alongside Federal Highway 14, close to Fellbach (Rems-Murr district), a chain reaction accident occurred involving six vehicles and two trucks. Authorities approximated the total damage to be approximately 120,000 euros. Initially, a 52-year-old motorist failing to brake crashed into stationary traffic and collided with another vehicle. The 52-year-old combatant, as well as the 22 and 23-year-olds in the other car, sustained minor injuries.
Following this event, an additional four cars and two trucks rundown into each other. A 25-year-old driver was reported to have sustained minor injuries as well. The section connecting Fellbach-South to Waiblingen-South was closed in the direction of Aalen for approximately four hours.
The chain reaction accident continued to cause havoc, resulting in four additional cars and two trucks colliding. Thankfully, the 25-year-old driver only suffered minor injuries due to this subsequent accident.
