Collision during security detail for Hungarian PM Orban in Stuttgart results in officer's fatality.

On a Monday morning, following Hungary's football-EM clash with Scotland in Stuttgart, authorities reported that Orban, aged 61, was escorted by a motorcycle squad from the traffic police to the airport at around 11:15 am. As they were passing through Degerloch district, a 69-year-old lady attempting to enter a barricaded street supposedly failed to notice it, resulting in a collision with Orban's motorcycle.

The impact sent Orban's bike crashing into the patrol bike of a 27-year-old officer who was there to control the intersection. He was critically injured and taken to the hospital.

Stuttgart's Mayor, Frank Nopper (CDU), expressed profound dismay over the accident. "Up until midday, everyone in the city was ecstatic after hosting such a tranquil and delightful football festival," Nopper said. "This horrific crash abruptly shattered this positive atmosphere."

Stuttgart's Police President, Markus Eisenbraun, stated: "The sorrowful circumstances surrounding the death of our respected comrade have left us speechless, striking a chord through the entire Stuttgart police department."
