Collision between two articulated lorries: around 60,000 euros damage
The collision between two articulated lorries on the Bundesstraße 2 in Swabia caused damage of around 60,000 euros. Nobody was injured in the accident near Mertingen (Donau-Ries district) on Tuesday evening, the police announced on Wednesday.
According to the report, the driver of a truck wanted to drive out of a lay-by onto the B2, but overlooked another articulated truck coming from behind. The driver of the rear vehicle was reportedly unable to take evasive action in time and the two vehicles collided.
The first truck sustained damage of around 50,000 euros. The vehicle was towed away. The second truck sustained damage of around 10,000 euros.
The unfortunate incident served as a reminder of the importance of careful driving in heavy traffic, especially on highways like the Bundesstraße 2 in Swabia. Such accidents can lead to significant financial losses, as demonstrated by the damage to the two articulated lorries, totaling approximately 60,000 euros.
