Police stopped a coachman in Buchen (district of Ostallgäu) with nearly two promille breath alcohol. Investigations against the 33-year-old are ongoing for driving under the influence, as police reported. Officers noticed a "merry, alcohol-fueled event" on Saturday with about ten visibly intoxicated men on the horse-drawn carriage, a spokesperson said.

The coachman mentioned in the incident was found to have consumed other alcoholic beverages, as several bottles were discovered in the carriage. Despite the other alcoholic beverages, he was still above the legal limit, leading to the charges against him.
