Coach ill: Hanoverians still win in Greece
The TSV Hannover-Burgdorf handball team have qualified for the main round of the EHF European League ahead of time, even without their coach Christian Prokop. The former national coach was absent on Tuesday evening in Greece due to a heavy cold as his team won 34:29 (16:16) at AEK Athens. It was the fourth win in the fourth game of the preliminary round Group B for the team from Lower Saxony. The Bundesliga club's most successful scorer was the Belarusian Uladsislau Kulesch with six goals. Prokop was represented on the coach's bench by his assistant Heidmar Felixson.
Despite their coach's absence due to illness, the TSV Hannover-Burgdorf handball team continued their impressive form in the European League, securing a win against AEK Athens in the EHF European League. This victory marked their fourth in the preliminary round Group B, ensuring their early qualification for the main round.
