Bundesliga 2 - Coach Geraerts sees great progress at Schalke

FC Schalke 04 go into their home match against SpVgg Greuther Fürth with increased self-confidence after two wins in a row recently. "We are building something. We have something we believe in," said coach Karel Geraerts ahead of Friday's match (6.30 pm) against the team in fourth place in the Bundesliga 2.

Geraerts, who took over Schalke just over two months ago, believes his team is on the right track. "When I look at the first day and compare it with today, I see a lot of progress in the team," he said.

Under the Belgian, Schalke have won four and lost three of their seven league games. The club is 13th in the table and Geraerts will have the same players at his disposal against Fürth as in the 2-0 win in Rostock last Sunday.

Spielvereinigung have won five of their last six games and drawn once. The Franconians have not conceded a single goal in their five victories. "We accept the challenge," said Geraerts. "We want to score goals, even if our opponents have a very good defense."
