Weather - Cloudy Thursday with icy conditions and snow drizzle
People in Berlin and Brandenburg have to prepare for cloudy, frosty weather on Thursday. The German Weather Service (DWD) warns of icy conditions that may continue into the morning due to freezing rain.
Small amounts of sleet or drizzle will fall in some areas. Temperatures will rise above freezing at midday and in the afternoon with highs between zero and two degrees.
Fog with local visibility below 150 meters will form in some areas on Friday night. It may become slippery due to ripe and freezing fog. It will clear up in the southern half of Brandenburg. Temperatures will drop to lows between zero and minus three degrees. A weak to moderate wind will blow.
Friday will be cloudy, with clear spells at the beginning from the Elster to the Neisse. The day will remain largely dry. Only in the evening will there be light sleet or snowfall from the west. In places the rain will freeze. Temperatures will be around freezing with highs between zero and two degrees. Winds will be weak to moderate.
