Weather - Cloudy and frosty Advent weekend in Saxony-Anhalt

People in Saxony-Anhalt can look forward to a frosty first weekend of Advent. According to the German Weather Service, temperatures will remain between minus three and minus eight degrees into the morning on Saturday. There will continue to be permafrost with a maximum of zero degrees during the day. There is a risk of slippery conditions in places due to frozen wetness and light snowfall. It will snow in the Harz Mountains from the afternoon. Up to five centimetres of fresh snow is possible. On Sunday night, up to three centimetres of fresh snow may also fall in the Altmark and Börde regions. Temperatures will be between minus three and minus seven degrees.

On the first day of Advent, it will remain overcast in Saxony-Anhalt until midday. In the afternoon, isolated snow showers and freezing rain are expected. Temperatures will rise to one degree. A light wind will blow during the night and temperatures will drop to minus eight degrees.
